Rumpelstiltskin

for dVerse

Firelight reveals
Dusty straw; spinning wheel
For the king's iornclad deal
Gold or death's seal

Little wonder she heeded
The voice that greeted

An unsual sight
The girl and spirte
Her paranormal knight
Escaping the blight

Morning light shines cold
Over the shimmering gold

  3. This is one of my favorite fairy tales and you did such a great job of incorporating the Quadrille prompt with the NaPoWriMo. And wonderful rhyme and flow. Thanks for joining us.

  4. The rhythm, like a spinning wheel. Super take on the old fairy tale and on the prompt. I really enjoyed this.

  5. I always loved that story when I was a kid. I'll have to revisit it to jump start my memory of just how it went. I love your fun rhyming quadrille.

    1. It's fractured because I'm interpreting "Escaping the blight" as Rumpelstiltskin and the miller's daughter running away together. It doesn't quite come across in 44 words though.

  12. Great rhyme and rhythm in your retelling of a classic tale! It's a bit tricky to pull off in just 44 words, but you aced it!
