Here in my nook
me, myself, and I
and the glorious book.
For the next golden while
let me say goodbye
to the laundry pile
dinner pans and dishes
without anyone asking why.
These are my only wishes,
so go away; don’t bother me.
Written for dVerse.

This is beautiful! Nothing like a riveting book to spend the hours lounging under the clouds 💝💝
ReplyDelete"Me, myself and I/and the glorious book" -- who can say no to that "golden while"? Loved this.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely yes!
ReplyDeleteThe 'golden while'. Absolutely Yes. Too bad mobiles and TV are replacing books!
ReplyDeleteI concur .... must finish a book before Book Club next week! Do NOT bother me. Great quadrille.
ReplyDeleteYes, please!
