Purple Rain

Photo by "My Life Through A Lens" on Unsplash

A torrential purple rain
Of whispering buds
Cascades down the lane
Unwinding like a skein
Of rambling yarn
In a fog of purple rain
Leaving a wake of living suds
And trailing fragrant sprays
Of bobbing, waving buds
Tumbling down from lofty heights
And like the sun’s fading rays
Cascades in splendid sights

  1. Lovely poem! The cascading flowers of spring are everywhere here in NC. This morning it was snow... gone this evening! Earlier it was cherry blossoms!

  8. There is a sense of unbridled freedom here. The unwinding, the rambling. The trailing, the tumbling. It's a healing form/poem for stuck energy.
