Pitter-patter steps of rain
Tiptoe across the road,
Branches, rooftops, and my nose
Cool splotches freckle across my palms
Landing polkadot in reflecting puddles
Kissed by rebel fallen leaves
Of rust mixed with dying green
Their love blooms in petrichor
Putting time on hold
Written for dVerse.

Love this!!! Tiptoe, freckle and landing polkadot are awesome descriptions!
ReplyDelete"Kissed by rebel fallen leaves" is fantastic. And I, too, love your use of the verbs "tiptoe" and "freckle."
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful poem and a wonderful picture, very nice SG!
ReplyDeleteI like the thought of love putting time on hold.
