Atop the snow capped mountain side
Something shines brighter than the snow
Gleaming; flashing with every stride
A unicorn with brilliant glow!
Hooves of diamonds glistering bright
And sparkling crystal prism horn
Catching and scattering rainbow light
Unicorn dancing in the morn!
Such a scene so scintillating
Will never from memory fade
Yet for a display so blinding
I’ll behold the unicorn with shades

Such beautiful images!!
I love unicorns, especially sparkly ones dancing in the snow!
ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE the idea of a unicorn appearing and dancing in the early morn -- and atop a snow capped mountain! Your descriptive words let me see her too. The idea that rainbows could be made by unicorns is delightful! Since I believe in fairies and angels, you can guess how I feel about unicorns!
ReplyDeleteUnicorn so bright, you gotta wear shades? ;)
ReplyDeleteI love it!
What fun this is. I love the dancing unicorn. Great rhyming as well.
ReplyDeleteI love that you chose a unicorn as your subject matter. Tis a beautiful, fun and joyful take on the prompt. Unicorn sparkles to you, MW
ReplyDeleteIf I could just catch a glimpse of a dancing unicorn I'd be blessed.
ReplyDeleteNice rhymes and imagery.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't that be an awesome thing to behold!
ReplyDeleteHow I wish I could see such a sight! Love unicorns.
ReplyDeleteToo much razzle dazzle can be damaging to the eyes, so those shades are a wise plan 😊
ReplyDeleteThis is magical and hopeful. I once saw some gorgeous white horses on a steep bank in New Mexico. All they needed were the horns!

If only unicorns were real - but perhaps they are safer because they are only imaginary!
