Elegant tatted lace
Stops my breath
Demands the skill be mine
First try
Knotted thread; nothing more
Still the vision persists

Tatting is a form of lace making. It is exquisitely beautiful, but is also one of the trickiest fiber arts to learn.

I have to say it sounds like a real challenge.. but so is poetry in it's own way.
ReplyDeleteHa... I could so relate to this.I had a very old friend who could crochet the most beautiful lace doilies, and I always wanted to learn. She is gone now, but sometime in my life I think I will be attempting that "first." Good luck in your pursuit!
