Sea Square

Sea things weathered and washed ashore;
things drifting; smoothed like sandy pearls.
Weathered smoothed until all points gleam.
And like all shells taken home,
washed sandy points taken become treasured.
Ashore pearls gleam. Home; treasured; renewed.

  2. I love the way the alliteration in the first line'Sea things weathered and washed ashore' conveys the sound of waves. I also like the idea of the sea weathering things 'smoothed until all points gleam'. Sea treasure has a magic of its own.

  11. Oh how I wish that I loved near enough to the sea to go and collect its worn-smooth offerings.
