Deluge

for dVerse

Dripping from the moist sky
Damp spots on the concrete
Drizzles slowly and then
Down in sopping buckets
Drenching and crashing from
Darkened waterlogged clouds
Dropping like ocean waves

  1. You know, when I see those first large spots hitting the sidewalk, I know it's going to come down in buckets, and I wonder if i'll make it inside in time. Thanks, that touches home with me

  8. I deleted my first comment because I had the wrong words -- sight. Flying fingers too fast on the keys. So - try again!
drip drip then suddenly DOWN like sopping buckets!
I love the line down like sopping buckets -- and I added DOWN like dropping buckets in my first reply -- buckets and buckets -- a real deluge. :) Really like this write!
