Sandcastle

for dVerse

Journey down to the sea
With bucket, spade, and me
Salt breeze catching the kite I carry
Making it a frolicsome fairy
You set me free to play
But are bent over your work
Solving the master equation
How many towers defend against invasion?

  1. Looks like a fun time out in the sea with the bucket, sands and spade. Please build a tall sandcastle for me, smiles.

  7. Somehow the play got a little bit sad with that last line... when even kids needs to think about fortifications... but I might have misunderstood the play.

  10. The undertone of a fear or worry in the final lines color the carefree, childlike verses and give the poem depth. You've crafted this well.

  13. This is light, airy and free but I did feel the undertone...perhaps an undertow beginning to stir in calm waters.
