Small insignificant
thing
Sets a million
million monkeys typing
And an infinite
million more
Causing a single black swan to soar
In a direction never known before
Events and thoughts tumbling round
Across an insubstantial playground
Where the mind lives unbound
Observing the laws of fate
Schrodinger’s cat has found a mate
The Butterfly Effect, Infinite Monkey Theorem, Black Swan Theory, and Schrodinger's Cat are the ideas
referenced in this poem.

I love the images created by the theories in this poem. Before I was familiar with them all I was imagining the animals as humans and thinking of how much we've progressed in so little time, and it started out so small. So I love the way you tied in all the theories with the first. Great poem!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't thought of that, but I like your interpretation!
DeleteI like the typing monkeys, reminds me of the Wizard of Oz.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of our minds contemplating the laws of fate :)
ReplyDeleteBeautifully executed.
I like how you "broke down" the theories and made them a more simple connection to each other and the affect it has. Very clever! I love that cat's glowing eyes in the photo too. :)
ReplyDeleteThe butterfly effect - small but powerful! Love this :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the imaginative flight of the theory. But then again, nature is always mysterious.
ReplyDeleteGave me goosebumps :) Brilliant piece...holds an ethereal charm and grace...
ReplyDeleteI'd like to live where the mind lives unbound...
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed this.
The mind can be/is a wonderful thing - love your train of thought.
ReplyDeleteAnna :o]
A mind full of thought, you might say! :)
