A Harp

for dVerse

O!
Ah!
the
harp
sings
softly.
Harmony,
melodies.
Happiness
whispering
contentment.
Delightful
glissando.
Ethereal
plucked
musical
notes.
Harp
kin.
Ah!
O!

This is a snowball poem. Each line is one word that is one letter longer than the last one.

  1. And to me it could also be a conceit with a hidden music in that plucking of the strings.

  2. Nice..also it is shaped like a crescendo as is a harp...

  4. Yes, a terrific snowball. You've found a subject that works so well and have also made a concrete poem. I agree with Bjorn it also works as a conceit. Very nicely done!

  5. Excellent job! You have inspired me to try this. This flows so easily and I like the beginning and ending the same, so to speak. The shape is pleasing and the poem itself is a happy trill, just like on a harp.

  8. Lovely! You have created music with this poem (and a poem with music)...and I love how you started with a one letter word!
