nice..i love sewing..used to sew a lot for the kids when they were small...trousers, shirts, even jackets...was my way to do something creative... lovely verse...
my mom used to use a sewing machine...it was cool to sit and watch her...and hear the machine go round and round as well....and so see what she could make out of scraps of cloth...
I know it's referring to a private sewing machine, but for some reason an image popped up in my mind of a traditional garment factory with rows of workers assembling clothes. The last verse carries a feeling of love in the work produced.
pink thread and cat fabric, hmm...I'm curious what was made. It's been a long time since I've seen a sewing machine in action, but I do remember the satisfaction of a finished piece. lovely.
I used to sew years ago..for myself, the two girls and even the ex. I loved it...such a relaxing and rewarding pasttime. I wonder what you made too... Lovely.
I'm the sewer of the family, actually, I hem and stitch and mend; so I know the magic. A wonderful weave of the lune this is, amid that magic of needle and thread.

ReplyDeleteI like that kind of magic! What did you make?
ReplyDeleteMy mum sewed a lot of my clothes when I was a kid. The whir of your sewing machine brought back many happy memories of her sewing for hours on end.
ReplyDeleteI love the image here... especially the first one.
