Here it is so clear and white
Patiently waiting for any bright
Scintillating words to tumble out
(Grubby words would do
If they’d only come in a slew)
And take root and sprout
With inky tendrils on the paper
Instead, they vanish like vapor
Written for dVerse.

I can just picture those quicksilver words vanishing!

Yessss! "Grubby words would do"
ReplyDeleteI feel this, so deeply!
I like this. :)
ReplyDeleteThis resonates.
ReplyDeleteVery nice little verse...unfortunately that vanishes yes, one way or another..
ReplyDeleteAh the potential -- and the temporality -- of a blank sheet of paper. Too soon crumpled and thrown in the wastebasket...
ReplyDeleteYes, even the grubby words!
