Effervescent baker Tiffany
Had an electric epiphany
Electing to add an ephah
Of enchanted yeast
To her emerging feast
Expanding her elegant eclairs
Exponentially
Enveloping every kitchen surface eventually,
She exclaimed, “Can I evade excess?
Perhaps there’ll be less,
If I expropriate a nibble.”
Happy Exponential Day Everyone! (The Exponential Constant is 2.7)
Ephah - An ancient Hebrew measurement that's probably too big to put into an eclair recipe, but at least it starts with E!
Written for dVerse.
I love the 'electric epiphany' and the playfulness of it all.
ReplyDeleteSuperb! Every line, the tone...Really well done!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Delightful.
ReplyDeleteSo fun to read aloud, having the rhythm and playfulness of a nursery rhyme.
ReplyDeleteSometimes more is simply too much
ReplyDeleteThis is really fun. Nice working in the rhyme and humor. It's a fun read-aloud piece
ReplyDeleteThe baker will expropriate a nibble? Oh my. It will not go well: she’ll end up with nothing to show. Oh my!
