Slither

Glissading serpents slide
Over still stones saturated
In sunlight settling in circles
With glistening scales
And spilling sideways in scads
of smooth scaly noodles
Slinking and slithering this way
And that, swirling through a mass
Of hisses and rustles like silken
Laces of snakes
