Below the trees chickadees flit like leaves
sailing on the summer breeze with the buzzing bees.
Chirping at fairies gathering red raspberries -
hidden ’neath spiky leaves - for tiny jams and jellies,
and plucking swaying daisies, tansies, pansies,
for splendid posies to grace their jamborees.

I like all those "e" sounds.
ReplyDeleteThose 'ees' sounds has a summer feel to it, just like the buzz of bees or distant lawnmowers.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful buzzy-hummy rhyme here! I love this.
